Welcome to Gayle Gonzalez-Johnson Psychotherapy. I'm an experienced female psychotherapist and I work with both men and women, though I have specialized expertise in men's issues. This expertise has proven beneficial in my work with men and women individually and with couples. My private psychotherapy practice is in Cary, NC and I especially welcome people who are hesitant or uncertain about coming into therapy. I pride myself on offering a comfortable, discreet, and emotionally safe environment for all my clients.
In addition to clients who come in for individual therapy, I also work with couples seeking help with their communication skills and numerous other relationship issues. Divorce counseling and support for post-relationship issues are commonly the focus of the therapy work, as is pre-marital counseling. I do not work directly with children nor adolescents, though I have a passion for working with parents of children of all ages, around parent-child relationships and around a variety of parenting issues.
I value diversity and my practice reflects this in sensitivity to racial, cultural, sexual orientation, and/or gender-related issues.
