Therapy Services Offered for Adult Individuals
I especially welcome people who are hesitant or uncertain about coming into therapy. I pride myself on offering a supportive, comfortable, and emotionally safe experience for each client I see. I do not work directly with children nor adolescents, though I have a passion for working with parents of children of all ages around parent-child relationships and around a variety of parenting issues. I value racial and cultural diversity and my practice is gender-affirming and embracing of people of all sexual orientations, sexual preferences, gender affiliations and gender identities. In addition to those named below, there are many more areas you may choose to focus on in our work together. Therapy services are individualized, and there are no "off-limits" topics. All matters are treated non-judgmentally and with the utmost respect.

This is not an exhaustive list, rather just some good examples of the kind of thing that supportive psychotherapy can be extremely helpful with!
Generally, at the start of our work together, we will identify personal strengths, positives in the environment, aspects of what is going well, and current and potential resources. Often times progress is easier when we build on strengths. We also can address needs from a variety of angles including social, familial, emotional, spiritual, intellectual, physical and psychological perspectives.
It is reasonable for you to expect from me as your therapist: concern, empathy, support, thoughtful and useful questions, deep listening, respect, feedback, guidance or problem-solving, or more likely some combination of all of these.
